If you watched TV in the 1970s and 80s, you know it was wall to wall babes.  Sure, the ladies had their Tom Selleck and David Soul; but, the guys had eye candy from the minute you powered that boob tube on.  There were simply tons of actresses finding work in bit parts on sitcoms and one-time roles on The Love Boat, Fantasy Island or Love, American Style.  Some got recurring parts, but mostly, you blinked and you missed them.

We are all familiar with the big names of the 70s and 80s: Farrah, Suzanne Somers, Heather Thomas, Heather Locklear, Catherine Bach, etc. Today, let's have a look at those lesser known ladies of TV yesteryear.  Recognize any of them?

Starsky & Hutch episode "I Love You Rosie Malone"
Tracy Brooks Swope appeared in Baretta, Love American Style, The Love Boat II (TV movie), The Partridge Family, and Charlie's Angels.  She was also in a TV movie called "Revenge for a Rape".

"Starsky & Hutch on Playboy Island"
Daina House was a Playboy Playmate of the Month in 1976 and appeared in The Fall Guy, Love Boat, Quark, and a couple hick flicks.  House found Jesus in the 1990's and leads a ministry at Church On the Way, even appearing on The 700 Club.

Knight Rider Episode "Knights of the Fast Lane"
Lory Walsh's career started out promising enough: a main character on Mulligan's Stew (1977) and then The MacKenzie's of Paradise Cove (1979). Both shows tanked and Lory ended up skipping around from Barnaby Jones to TJ Hooker to Simon and Simon to Murder, She Wrote, etc. You get the picture.

Look out ladies, here comes Hasslehoff

Knight Rider Episode "Knights of the Chameleon"
Kimberly Foster payed her dues before landing a role on Dallas, appearing in over thirty episodes. Kimberly had parts in Double Trouble and The A-Team and small roles in the movies One Crazy Summer and Dragnet.

The A-Team Episode "One More Time"
If I ever make a list of the busiest TV babes of the 70s and 80s, Barbara Horan will definitely be in the top ten.  To name just a few examples, Barbara had one episode roles in Crazy Like a Fox, Charles In Charge, Automan, Matt Houston, Dukes of Hazzard, Hart to Hart, The Fall Guy, and a recurring role on BJ and the Bear.  She now runs a bra company called "Sassybax" - bras with no strap lines.

When it comes to jumping from show to show, I simply don't know how you can top Tracy Scoggins.  Sure, she ended up big with Babylon 5 and pretty meaty roles on Lois & Clarke and Dynasty, but prior to that it was a laundry list of shows that rivals Ted McGinley!

Her credits include: Dallas, Hawaiian Heat, TJ Hooker, Crazy Like a Fox, Hotel, The Colbys, Manimal, The New Odd Couple, Renegades, Hardcastle & McCormick, Wings, The A-Team, Remington Steele, The New Mike Hammer, Dukes of Hazzard, etc., etc.  She definitely paid her dues.
